DESCRIPTION:WI Members Only \nLANCASHIRE FEDERATION OF WOMEN’S INSTITUTES \n Countryside and Environment Sub-Committee \nDATE: Tuesday 23rd April 2013 \nThe walk will commence from Downham Village Hall\, BB7 4DN.  Coffee will be available \nAt 10.00am ready for a 10.30am start.   There are toilet facilities available. \nCost: £2.00 per person \nThe walk is just over 5 miles long and takes walkers through farmers’ fields as far as the moorlands under Pendle Hill. \nThe walk has stiles (access stiles/kissing gates\, though walkers will have an alternative of a gate or slight detour to a gate).  There is one boggy gateway and one rather boggy field depending on recent weather conditions. \nAll walkers should meet at the Village Hall where there is free parking.  When arriving in Downham from Clitheroe/Chatburn area\, go down the brow\, through the village\, over the bridge\, keep left up the hill and the village hall and car park are on brow of hill on the left. \nFurther details about this walk are available from Marion Courtney on 01200 428060. \nPlease complete the application form available on the lancashire federation website (or enquire at the next Salford Angels meeting) and return to the Federation Secretary\, Office 7/9 Croston House\, Lancashire Business Park\, Centurion Way\, Leyland\, PR26 6TU.  Closing date: Thursday 28th March 2013. \n_________________________________________________________________________________________ \n
