SUMMARY:Book Club
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nAll ladies are welcome to join the book club for a good read and discussion of the months’ chosen book. We are also planning some special events\, such as trips and attending book signings. \nThis month we will be discussing Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Phillip K Dick . \n \n \n \nDo Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick \n Synopsis:  This is the book that the film ‘Blade Runner’ was based on.  But if you didn’t see\, or didn’t like the film\, don’t let that put you off reading the book – it is quite different.  The book is based in post-apocalyptic USA when humans have not only colonised other planets but have created androids to see to their every need on the other planets.  A group of highly sophisticated androids have escaped to Earth and it is Rick Deckard’s job to hunt them down and ‘retire’ them.  But it isn’t that easy!  These androids are really humanesque\, and this brings up a whole range of moral issues for Deckard who begins to question his role as bounty hunter. \nWe are choosing the books for the next few months at this meeting.  So please bring along a suggestion for a book to go on the list. \nPlease meet 7pm at The Angel Centre. \n\n\n\n
