DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 8th July 2014 from Slaidburn Village Hall\, arrive 10.15am for 10.30am start. \nToilet facilities are available at Slaidburn Village Hall.  Refreshments available at the Village Green café or bring a packed lunch.  Cost £2.00. \nThe walk is approximately 5 miles long.  A Circular walk heading north from Slaidburn \, passing Hammerton Hall and onwards to cross the dam of Stocks Reservoir.  Returning to Slaidburn by lanes\, field paths and riverside path through Shay wood.  The terrain is steep in places with several stiles and gates.  Parts can be muddy so suitable walking boots are required.  Please note that dogs are not allowed on this walk. \n Sat Nav – BB7 3ES \nFrom M6 \nLeave M6 at junc 31. Follow A59 signed Clitheroe \nLeave A59 at A671 signed Clitheroe \nPass through Clitheroe until Roundabout Filling Station – turn left onto B6478 signed Waddington \nContinue through Waddington over Fell to Newton \nTurn right at junction signed Slaidburn \nTurn right at ‘Hark to Bounty’ down to Village Green and Hall \nFrom M65 \nLeave M65 at junc 8.
