Hat Works Museum, Stockport and Salford Quays

£20.00We would like to invite you to join us on an excursion to The Stockport Hat Works Museum which is housed in the Grade II Victorian Wellington Mill.
On arrival we will be served with refreshments at the Plaza complex (included) then go on a guided tour of the Hat Works with an expert and share their knowledge and expertise of the hatting industry. On this visit you learn: about the cottage industry from its humble beginnings, visit a ‘hatter’s’ cottage, enjoy demonstrations with the original Victorian machinery. We will then visit the hat gallery with over 400 hats from around the world and experience audio-visual presentations which are thought provoking demonstrating this once thriving Stockport Industry. Leaving Stockport we travel to Salford Quays where you can purchase lunch or enjoy your packed lunch. Here you will have a choice of venues…The Lowry Outlet, (discount vouchers available), Lowry Gallery, Imperial War Museum North, BBC Plaza and Blue Peter Garden. The choice is yours to personally enjoy.
We will pick up in Carnforth, Leyland and Haydock Thistle, exact timings to be confirmed and leave Salford at 4.00pm.
