A visit to Jodrell Bank, is there anyone out there?

Join us on a visit to Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope Discovery Centre in Cheshire where you can explore the wonders of the universe and learn about the workings of the giant Lovell Telescope. Challenge yourself to the interactive games, explore the solar system through the clockwork orrery and take a walk through the Galaxy Gardens to the arboretum. The gardens were planted to the design of TV gardener Chris Beardshaw. Visit the Space Pavilion, learn about black holes and listen to the sound of the Big Bang. You will be free to walk around the base of the telescope and surroundings.
Included in the visit is the admission charge, a seasonal soup and sandwich lunch with either tea or coffee and a talk from an expert about the work of Jodrell Bank.
All paths are accessible but it is advisable to wear suitable shoes and outdoor clothing for this visit. Please notify us of any personal dietary or mobility information.
We will be using the Don Fraser Coach Company, and will leave Lytham (The Windmill car park) at 10-00am calling at Leyland (WI Office) and Haydock Thistle and return from Jodrell Bank at 3-45pm.
