Barton Walk

DATE: Thursday 21st March 2013 – walk commences at 10.00am but walkers will need to arrive at 9.45 for a prompt start.
Cost: £2.00 per person
The walk is approximately 5 miles and commences on a quiet lane towards the canal towpath. We will then walk towards Bilsborrow, cross the A6 and railway, followed by some fields and farm tracks. The walk will finish along the road to the Village Hall. There are about 3 stiles and some muddy areas if wet, however it is a flat walk. There will be toilet facilities at the beginning and end of the walk at Barton Village Hall. Tea and coffee will be available after the walk. Please note that dogs are not allowed. Directions to the parking and starting point.
Situated on the A6 north of Preston, about 3 miles north of Junction 32 (M6). From the North travel along A6 through Bilsborrow. Barton Village Hall is on left just over Railway Bridge. Ample parking available.
