Main Meeting – Annual Picnic
Join us for lots of fun and food on our annual picnic. This year, the picnic will be held at Blackleach Country Park and we will be having a talk from our very own Nurse Brenda.
Find out more »LFWI – Port Sunlight Museum and Garden Village
Port Sunlight Village is a unique and beautiful 19th century garden village created especially for the Sunlight Soap factory workers. We take a guided tour on our coach to see life through the eyes of the founder, William Hesketh Lever, his workers and their families. We also visit Port Sunlight Museum, which was extensively refurbished in 2013, featuring audio visiual presentations, interactive displays, historical objects and information panels. There will be time to take our own walks through the village…

Join us for our regular Salford Angels choir practice. We are a fun and energetic choir, covering all sorts of music from traditional and folk, to classic and modern pop. We will soon be preparing for a concert in Lancaster to celebrate 100 years of the Lancashire Federation of Women’s Institutes. New members welcome. We meet on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Please arrive at 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start.

Come and enjoy a summer floral treat! A hands-on contemporary floral art design workshop; gain ideas, inspiration and develop your skills and techniques in floral art and leaf manipulation. The workshop will consist of a demonstration featuring two simple, yet creative designs and a practical hands-on session where members can then create their floral exhibit. Celebrate the centenary in style at the Lancashire Federation of Women's Institutes prestigious Bubbles and Brass Event (as mentioned in WI Life.) You will be entertained by the splendid sounds of the Eccleston Brass Band, a firm favourite along with a superb vocalist Ben McLean, with songs from the shows. Included in the ticket price is a glass of sparkling bubbly (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) accompanied by mouth watering canapés. And all this set in the beautiful location of Rivington Barn.…
