Resolution Discussion Meetings
WI Members Only Two meetings will be held on Wednesday 6th November 2013 to discuss the short list of Resolutions for the 2014 NFWI Annual General Meeting to be held in LEEDS. These meetings will be of particular interest to WI presidents and prospective delegates. It is hoped that all WIs will be represented, at one or other meeting, by at least two members. LFWI - The Arts and Craft Sub-Committee WI Members Only Date: Wednesday 13th November OR Saturday 16th November 2013 On this day you can make a cute little mob-capped Rag Doll. With guidance from Shirley Thornton, our tutor, you will attach safety eyes so that it may be given to a small child (if you want to part with it!) embroider the face and make the body and clothes. WI Members Only Welcome to an afternoon of Lancashire entertainment presented by members of the Lancashire Society. Your Master of Ceremonies will be Sid Calderbank, a well know Lancashire Entertainer who will introduce you to an afternoon of songs, music, dance and dialect all representing Lancashire. WI Members Only Following her successful Christmas Wreath workshop, we welcome back Janet to demonstrate several festive arrangements including candles, foliage and a few flowers which can easily be replaced nearer Christmas. You will then be inspired to create your own arrangement under Janet's expert guidance with the materials you have brought along. Come along to Garden Needs this Sunday for a Christmas extravaganza, featuring a Christmas Craft Market and Carols from our own Salford Angels Choir. And that's not all.
