February 2012 Meeting – A ghost talk
A ghost talk from our friends at Ordsall Hall.
We were very excited to have our first speakers to our February meeting – Denise Roberts and our very own Sam Smith. Denise works at Ordsall Hall, Salford – a historic house and former stately home in Salford dating back 750 years. It was the Radclyffe family home and has a fascinating history. Our own Sam used to work there and told us all about the history and the ghostly goings on. It is said to be the home of The White Lady of Ordsall Hall and Denise brought along some photos of the hall where there was definitely some visions of her there! You can also see what goes on at night through the Ordsall Hall GhostCams. The White Lady is also very modern, she has her own Twitter account and you can follow her here – @theordsallghost. The group particularly liked Sam and Denise’s stories about the young ghostly girl who sits on the stairs which other children can see and also about the cheeky ghost who groped Sam’s chest!
A big thank you to Denise and Sam for entertaining us with your ghostly stories.
