President

I was born in Salford in 1965 and have lived here all my life. I’m married with three children and three grand children. I work as a Defendant Lawyer dealing with Road Traffic Accident cases and my hobbies are reading, history, watching sport, singing and teaching myself to play the recorder.

I’m Steph and I have been a member of Salford Angels since April 2012. I have lived in Salford since 2010 and now consider myself part of the furniture. I am a mum of two boys, keen crafter and environmental volunteer.

Speakers

I am a very unfit almost completely deaf 72 year old with 2 grown up children and delightful twin grandchildren I adore looking after. I have been a member of Salford Angels since it’s inception and enjoy it, especially the choir, though my deafness gets in the way a bit! Hard to hit the right note when you can’t hear it. I am also unable to carry a tune in a bucket but our choir mistress is very understanding and the rest of the choir keep me mostly on track. Looking forward to getting together again and meeting up with all our members, both new and old.

Vice Secretary

I joined Salford Angels in 2014 after taking early retirement. My aim was to make new friends and become more involved in my local community. I’m happy to say that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting a great bunch of lovely ladies and have had the chance to experience lots of new, fun things. My interests are travel, cooking, reading, gentle rambles and singing in the Angels choir.

Trips and More

I am a retired Learning Disability Nurse, having worked with people with a LD for nearly 40 yrs.
I joined Salford Angels WI 11 years ago and have loved every minute of it.  I became a member of the choir 7 years ago (even though I can’t sing) and found a
confidence I never knew I possessed to sing in front of others and thoroughly enjoy it. My children and grandchildren take up most of my time.  My 2 sons, 2 of my grandsons and 2 of my granddaughters join my husband and I supporting the original Red Devils (that is Salford Rugby league team not Manchester
United).  I love cruising holidays and go as often as my finances allow.
